Ellie is about two years old, Australian cattle dog mix. She has been at a rural shelter in Texas for about 9 months with zero interest. We don't know much about her history, but we do know she loves human interaction. She is dog friendly and LOVES to run around and play. She will chase and wrestle with other dogs. She absolutely loves water! A staff member is working on leash training, but that would need to continue into her forever home. She should be in an escape proof harness- one where she can't back out of it.
Ellie is a working dog breed so she needs a high level of activity to get her mind working. She would do best in a home that is very active and/or with a playmate.
Ellie can't be around no cats. Her history with kids is unknown so we recommend no children under the age of 12.
